Elisabeth Houston is also known as EL_S_TH H__ST_ON, also known as “baby” or “not ever baby.” Video, text, and live performance are components of the baby series, which explores gender, race, cyberspace, and violence. Standard American English, a book of experimental poetry, grew out of an ongoing performance series. It is Houston's first book and recently published by Litmus Press. Houston lives and works in Los Angeles.
Imani Elizabeth Jackson is from Chicago. Her writings appear in Apogee, BOMB, TriQuarterly, Poetry, Triple Canopy, and elsewhere. Under the name mouthfeel, she co-authored the poetry-cookbook Consider the Tongue (2019) with S*an D. Henry-Smith; she also contributed to Francesca Capone’s Weaving Language I: Lexicon (Essay Press, 2022). Her chapbook, saltsitting, is available from g l o s s and her first book, Flag, is forthcoming from Futurepoem.
